The meeting was called to order at 2:29 p.m by Secretary Bayle Emlein.
Members present: Bayle Emlein, Jan Fagerholm, Diane George, Sid Jordan, Elsie Smith, Tom Smith. Absent: Sally Holt, Chuck Horner.
The minutes of the June 2012 meeting were approved.
Old Business: The system for emailing the newsletter in place of snail mail is in place. The membership form is up and fillable and printable.
The EC will be on summer vacation in August. Business will be handled through email.
President's Report - Chuck Horner: No report.
Executive Vice President – Sally Holt:
Sally is participating in a fundraiser for another group. She sent several Program suggestions and requests.
Treasurer - Tom Smith:
As of July 21, 2012:
Profit and loss is reported as of July. Revenue comes at the Main Meeting.
Checking Account $1,829.02, Total $1,829.02.
Tom is predicting that as of December 31 we will have about $900 in the bank. Diane has reported the possibility of selling the PCC domain name.
Secretary - Bayle Emlein: Nothing special to report.
VP Clubhouse - Sid Jordan:
Sid reports that the Clubhouse is still in negotiations with Alameda County for a space. The only donations they are able to accept right now are computers (CPU, mouse, keyboard; no CRT monitors, flat panel OK) at least 1.7 GHz CPU speed, 512 Mb RAM, any size hard drive.
VP Marketing – Position open:
Elsie will put a notice about PCC meetings and member benefits on eBay Classified.
Diane will list PCC in Meetup.com.
VP Membership - Jan Fagerholm:

Diane suggested pairing with a senior center to increase interest and perhaps membership. Diane also suggested exploring interest among genealogy groups and offering them computer support.
A paid subscription for the printed version of the newsletter is another suggestion for keeping PCC finances afloat. It costs approximately $42 per person per year to provide printed, mailed newsletters. Suggestions for monetizing the newsletter are being sought.
Jan proposed continuing Harold Smith's membership in recognition of his long and faithful service.

Webmaster - Diane George:
Diane has renewed the domain registration. She would like to offer a class in Joomla. This is the content management system she uses for the Web site. Contact Diane if you're interested.
Calendar: See the Web site for the latest updates and changes in SIG meetings. Diane would appreciate getting a paragraph from each SIG leader each month to tell what the meeting will cover.
