Join us on Friday, March 6, 2015, 7:30 pm, at Calvary Baptist Church, 28924 Ruus Road, Hayward.
The month's presentation is by Anne Madrid from the Identity Theft Council. The first Council started in Alameda County and is a partnership between the Alameda County District Attorney's office and more than a dozen police departments. The mission of the partnership is to find more effective ways to support victims, train law enforcement, and educate the community about identity theft and how to avoid it.
The idea for the Identity Theft Council originated in 2009, when the Hayward Police Department asked council founder Neal O'Farrell for help in counseling local victims of identity theft.
